Sometimes it’s hard to deal with how talented and smart Alison Bechdel is. Also, what a dream boat. If you haven’t checked it out yet, Are You My Mother? is a much more intellectually challenging work than Fun Home, but amazing just the same. It’ll take many more reads to peel away more of its layers.
